This is our week! Well, some of it. Starting from Sunday and going backwards. Mirian and 24 of her closest friends in Sunday School had their Cmas performance yesterday. They did a great job! Miriam's class is really cute and VERY international! Joab and I help out with it and really have enjoyed it. Miriam is about one of three kids who are from the USA. Most kids are from other places in Asia (Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong) and Africa, Holland, Kazahstan, Canada. Some kids speak better Chinese than English (this is where Joab comes in) some only speak French (can't really help them out there). But most can speak both Chinese and English equally well. It is truly amazing to teach the Nations!
Our international church actually meets in a Chinese church building. The Chinese church meets in the morning and then we can use the place in the afternoon. It is really fun to be in a big old church with so much history behind it.

Miriam and some of her good friends before hand practicing the moves!

On Saturday we went to our local mall to try out a new place to eat called "Buddy Bear". This is Bulid a Bear Workshop meets Chucky Cheese meets Karaoke Bar meets Disney Land. It was oh! So Chinese and amazingly crazy wonderful. The kids had a blast in the large pirate ship in the middle of the place that was really a slide.

Here is the Bulid a Bear part. You can make your own stuffed bear- while listening to a guy from the Philippines dance to Latino music- while singing "Louie Louie". The pictures do not quite capture the memories....

This is our thankful tree. I took this down on Monday- usually we take this tree down and put the cmas tree up. We hopefully will do that sometime this weekend!

We have been doing a thankful tree since Miriam was little. And this is the first year that she could write her own things she was thankful for! I was glad Asa made the list....

On Thursday Miriam and I went with a local Home school group to a farm. We picked cabbage and had a great time.

Here is the gang at work!

Got to love picking oranges with mittens on. I have NO idea how they have perfect oranges when it is so cold out! Maybe I do not want to know....

Em,
What a wonderful way to record the week that was. Pictures are great and your commentary is informative. Keep the pictures and news coming.
Hug the children for me
