1st Hair Cut!

This week Asa's hair was getting a bit too "red clown hair like" for me, so I got the whole family involved and we cut it. Miriam "helped" by feeding Asa a sucker while I trimmed. This ended up being more of a mess as it made for a really sticky face! Miriam ended up eating most of the candy, so she had a great time.

We all agree Asa looks older with his new style! His hair is still curly, but more when it is humid out and not all the time like Miriam's.

This week marked our last Meyer B-day here in Beijing...mine! Joab got a babysitter for the kids and took me (via a 40 minute bike ride) to a great Korean BBQ place where you cook your meat at your table! It was really good and great to have a date. We then biked about twenty minutes to a great coffee place and enjoy a nice pot of tea together.
Then we biked home as fast as we could home as it is getting very chilly here at night (around 40 F)! My Chinese friends tell me the heat will not come on here until November 15- until then it is a lot of layers and drinking tea to keep warm.

In Chinese class this week I had to give a short three minute speech introducing my family to my class. It was only three minutes but it sure took a ton of time to write! Our teachers this week decided we need to be going at a faster pace, so by Thursday my brain was so tired with Chinese!
