Jerome, AZ

When you travel nap times go out the window! This is Asa's nap time at a coffee shop, where he was more interested in looking at the flowers and butterflies than sleeping!
Last weekend we decided to go on a short day trip to Jerome, AZ. In it's hay day 15,000 people lived in this little copper mining town, now only about 400! It feels a bit like a ghost town, but really amazing scenery.

A friend in Phoenix gave Miriam and I henna tattoos. They henna lasts about three weeks and then fades away. It was pretty fun! I remembered in Jerome we had not taken a picture of them yet-so they were a bit faded.

Miriam is standing in one of the old iron buckets used to move earth to get to the copper.

The only way to contain our active one!!! If you ever get to AZ go to Jerome! We recommend it!
